A ride-finding app has to know where rides start. The question worth asking is what it shares about you — and when. CycleBuddy's answer: very little, and only while you're riding with people who joined the same ride.
Shared only inside a group ride
Your live position is shared only with the riders of a group ride you've joined, and only while that ride is under way. Browsing the map, reading the Explore feed or chatting never puts you on the map.
Rides are public, riders aren't tracked
What others see is the ride: its start and meeting point, pace, type and spots left. There's no public heatmap of your training and no feed of where you rode yesterday.
Your body stats stay private
Age, weight, height and sex power your ride plans, and they're stored as private — they never appear on your public profile, which shows only your avatar, rides, kilometres and bio.
Report and block in two taps
Report any rider for spam, harassment, hate, explicit content, threats or impersonation — reports are reviewed within 24 hours. Blocking works both ways: blocked riders vanish from your rides, chats and map.
